Lakewood Shelter Open 24/7 During Extreme Cold

With temperatures expected to plummet this weekend, Lakewood’s Severe Weather Shelter is stepping up to provide a safe haven for those in need.

📍 Where: 8000 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood, CO

📅 When: Open 24/7 from Friday, Jan. 17 (7 p.m.) to Tuesday, Jan. 21 (7 a.m.)

🐾 Good to Know: Pets are welcome—just bring a leash or use one provided onsite.

Local Spotlight: Park Hill Golf Course to Become Denver’s Newest Park

After years of debate, the Park Hill Golf Course is set to transform into a stunning public park by summer 2025!

This 155-acre site will soon be home to trails, picnic tables, and more, making it Denver’s fourth-largest park. Mayor Johnston’s team has already begun plans for temporary amenities, and long-term developments will include everything from dog runs to shaded pavilions.
